Luxury accommodation in the heart of Sidmouth
Converted from the upper floors of the famous Goviers China Shop, which was established in Sidmouth in 1904, we bring you two luxury holiday apartments in the heart of Sidmouth. Goviers was run by the buildings current owners from 1983 until the shop closed and the mail order business was sold in 2019 - at this point the flats Ada and Jula were created.
Jula is a one bedroom flat that can sleep up to 4 (with a sofa bed in the living room) and boasts views of the High Street through heritage sash windows.
Ada sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms and has the benefit of loft living with the additional bonus of a private roof terrace.
Visit the Jurassic Coast
The Jurassic Coast, from Exmouth to Studland Bay, is a World Heritage site, with stunning coastal scenery. The Sidmouth Town and Jacob's Ladder beaches both enjoy striking red sandstone cliffs that date back to the Triassic period.
Jacob's Ladder beach is a long shingle beach with huge expanses of sand when the tides are low. It is named after the staircase (pictured) that used to be an actual ladder providing access to the beach from Connaught Gardens. Thankfully, these days the beach is much easier to access from the town!
Sidmouth is also on the internationally renowned South West Coast Path, 630 miles of stunning walks around Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and North Somerset. There is plenty to explore.
